A framework defines how a client is scored — the pillars, their weights, the metrics, and the flag rules. Your firm can own custom frameworks tailored to your advisory methodology, alongside the system FORTIS framework. This guide covers managing your firm's framework library.
💡 Tip — Who can use this For firm admins, on your firm portal.

Step 1 — Manage your frameworks
From your firm portal, open the Framework Library. You'll see the frameworks your firm owns, each showing its name, pillar count, and visibility (public or private within the firm).
System vs firm-owned frameworks:
- System frameworks (like FORTIS) are owned by the platform. You can view them but a platform admin edits them.
- Firm-owned frameworks are yours — you can create, edit, and use them for your firm's clients.
Editing a firm-owned framework lets you adjust pillars (add, remove, reorder, weight), their descriptions and "what healthy looks like" text, the metrics per pillar, and the flag rules (thresholds). Per-tier weight overrides let you tune how pillars count for clients on different plans.
📝 Note — Framework changes can affect existing clients Editing a framework that's in use can change how existing client periods are scored. Material changes (adding/removing pillars or metrics, changing weights) are flagged with a confirmation showing how many clients are affected. Cosmetic edits (like fixing a description) apply without that prompt.
💡 Tip — Start from FORTIS and customize Most firms start with the system FORTIS framework and create a customized copy for their methodology. This gives you a proven structure to adapt rather than building pillars and metrics from scratch.
